Aridian Shaman Assassin:

Very few Aridian males are ever chosen as Shaman Assassin. First because of the level of extra ordinary gifting that is required and second because so few survive Shamanistic training in the Aridian Culture.

Nikolai, otherwise known as Nik is a bioengineered Aridian male. He has no biological parents as his DNA was reconstructed in a lab. Nik is a Tel-Empathic being. Meaning he is gifted with Telepathy (a highly advanced form of Neuromancy) and is a very strong Empath as well. These two traits are what led to his Shaman training on Aridia.

Nik was ten years old when he is Dir'ashca were rescued, unlike him Dir (Dir'ashca) who is a Drow male was unable to be taken into Aridian culture, however Prince Priest Assassin Skar Akarianus was able to guarantee both Dir and Nik safety. Nik was trained as an Assassin as all Aridians are. At his adulthood ceremony Nik announced his gifts and the intention to enter into Shamanistic training.

The three clan rings marks him as a Hunter Clan member, since his biological stock was Hunter Aridian DNA. The single clan ring in his ear marks him as an adult Aridian male of marriageable age. The ring in his nose marks him as an Assassin. The white braids in his hair mark him as an assassin fully trained and the jade beads mark him as a shaman.
